Full Version: Technical Difficulties in Challenge Mode

If I'm playing against Laser, Airforce and Superweapon; within a certain point during the game (Usually when they begin launching their Particle cannons or sending in their mass wave of aircraft) my game crashes and gives me the technical difficulty error.

My OS is Windows 10; While Ive heard its unstable for generals, Im still hoping that theres a fix for it w/o having 2 change back to Win 7

Thanks

Personally, I would not play games which are designed to be played on WinXP, on Win8.1 or Win10. All this is only the start of the problems you are going to experience while playing those games wink.gif Your best bet is Win7 unless you still have WinXP. Even though your problem is in the Challenge mode, Win7 is unable to withstand the spam created by GLA Salvage General, USA Armor General, etc., in Skirmish mode, resulting in Serious errors most of the time (just saying).

I am also playing Generals at Windows 10. I have no problems.

On the computer is a file called ReleaseCrashInfo.txt. It is in C\Users\Username\Documents\Command and Conquer Zero Hour Data. Check this file.
You can check in the worldbuilder because it will get find most errors

If you have problems with the exact meaning of the error. Post it here. I and other modders can help you out.

I hope that this helped you.

If you're not planning on modding ShockWave, fixing the mod, by editing the mod files yourself, is not advised.

All you'll accomplish is make your copy of the mod different from everyone else's, which makes you unable to play online, among other things.

Serious errors usually happen because of wrong installation, or trying ti install multiple mods in a single folder, or just windows being a jerk as usual.

You can fix all of those problems with a proper re-installation: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1cqTHHvD...dit?usp=sharing
Read through the whole guide before doing anything

If you still want to play multiple mods, there is a safe way to do it: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PAHX8Z3...dit?usp=sharing
